Members of the public have flocked to the annual ‘Picnic in the Park’ event at Readhead Park.
Organised every year by the Friends of Readhead Park, the free South Shields community event was held on Saturday, August 22.
Those attending were invited to bring along their own picnic and enjoy a day full of activities.
All proceeds raised throughout the event are set to be used by volunteers at the Friends of Readhead Park to improve the park and its facilities.
