Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter has a number of animals that are looking for their forever home.
The shelter, which was established in 1896, helps animals that are unwanted, neglected, abused and abandoned - as well as reuniting lost animals with their owners and finding loving new homes for those who are no longer wanted.
Here are 19 cute animals who are in need of a home - you can find out more at: https://www.dogandcatshelter.com/.

17. Voodoo
Voodoo is a chap with a huge personality! He was not a happy lad when he arrived at the shelter, known to be a scared, grumbly boy who lashes out when feeling scared or annoyed. Voodoo has been on foster with a foster family and is doing much better now that he’s in a home environment. | Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter

18. Wyatt (Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross)
Wyatt is a friendly, fun and boisterous lad with the attention span of a goldfish! Although he always means well, Wyatt can get a little over excited at times and can behave in silly ways. Staff have introduced a training plan to help Wyatt find more appropriate outlets for his over-zealous behaviours, and this will need to be continued in the home. | Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter

19. Yeti (American Bulldog)
Yeti is a delightful, playful and goofy lad always on the look out for some fun and attention! Yeti arrived into care as a stray and was in quite a state bless his heart. His skin was in a terrible condition and his ears bled they were so bad; he must have been in so much pain. Despite being a chunky boy, Yeti still seems to believe he is a lapdog and will happily jump on you knee for a cuddle! | Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter

20. Dexter
Dexter is a lovely lad who, although took a little while to settle in initially, has soon made friends with the staff and volunteers, showing them what a sweet and chatty boy he is! Despite being a slightly older boy, Dexter still has a super playful side and loves to chase and bat around his toys – particularly catnip ones. | Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter
