A group of Black Cats hired a plane to fly over St James's Park during the game against Tottenham trailing a banner reading "Auf Wiedersehen Prem Tyne To Go".
Many fellow fans who commented on the story on our Facebook page thought it was fine to taunt the Geordies over their club's relegation to the Championship.

Tim Harding: "I remember when we were relegated many years ago 3rd division against Gillingham and the Toon fans turned up in their droves. So a little payback. If it's any consolation ,shame we won't get 6 points of them next season!"
