999 crews called to South Shields crash involving Asda lorry
Emergency services have attended the scene of an accident in South Tyneside.
A heavy goods vehicle collided with another vehicle at Laygate Roundabout.
Fire crews and an ambulance attended the scene at Westoe Approach, and no one was hurt.

Hide AdIan Robinson, officer in charge at South Shields Fire Station, said: “An Asda delivery truck collided with a car.
“The car was pushed into the barrier next to the pedestrian control crossing.
“We had to take the barrier to bits so that the driver could get out of the car through the passenger door.”
