Air ambulance called to aid of injured man at South Shields address

Emergency services were called to a street in the Horsley Hill area of town shortly between 9am and 9.15am on Saturday, October 10.
A spokeswoman from the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) said in a statement: “We were called at 9.18am this morning to reports of a man injured at a private address in the Horsley Hill area.

Hide Ad"We dispatched a double-crewed ambulance, three crews from our Hazardous Area Response (HART) team, an officer and requested support from the Great North Air Ambulance Service.
"One patient was transported by road to the RVI [Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary].”
Spokespeople for both Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service and Northumbria Police confirmed to the Gazette that their crews and officers also attended the incident on Saturday, but were unable to provide any further details.
