Anglers put lives at risk

I was shocked to read about the anglers who are risking their lives to catch fish during stormy weather.

Of course these people are more than able to make their own decisions as to whether or not they should be doing this so if anything happens to them they knew the risks.

However, it is not right to then put the lives of others, who may be called out to rescue them, in danger.

It is very selfish of these anglers not to heed the warnings issued by the Volunteer Life Brigade.

They should remember the big gate at the pier is locked for a reason.
