Around 13,000 tickets sold ahead of the upcoming South Shields Sunday Concerts
South Shields’ upcoming Sunday Concerts have proven to be popular once again.
South Tyneside Council has revealed that a total of almost 13,000 tickets have been sold for the three upcoming Sunday Concerts.
Crowds will once again gather in South Shields’ Bents Park on Sunday, July 19, July 26, and August 2 as part of the This is South Tyneside Festival.
This year marks the first time that the Sunday Concerts have been fully ticketed, with South Tyneside Council stating that ABC and Judge Jules have proven to be popular.
The local authority has confirmed that there is no deadline to buy tickets for any of the Sunday Concerts, meaning that members of the public can purchase them right up to the event.

A South Tyneside Council spokesperson said: "Ticket sales for this year's Bents Park Live Sunday concerts are going well, with around 13,000 tickets already sold across the three events.
"ABC and Judge Jules have proved especially popular, while there is still plenty of opportunity for people to join us for the opening concert featuring Joe McElderry, Sonia and 911 on 19 July.
"There is no ticket sales deadline this year, so people can buy online right up to the event, including on the day itself via the Universe app.
"We're encouraging anyone thinking of coming along to book now and be part of what promises to be another fantastic series of summer concerts on the seafront."
