Award-winning magician and his robot assistant are set to perform in South Shields
The Customs House is set to host an evening of magic as part of the South Tyneside International Magic Festival.
The robot that was refused entry to the Magic Circle is set to perform in South Shields.
The South Tyneside International Magic Festival has returned to the borough for 2026 and will see an evening of magic hosted at The Customs House on Saturday, October 17.

Topping the show this year is the award-winning magician David Penn alongside his extraordinary sidekick D4RYL, who is the world’s only humanoid magic robot.
David and D4RYL made headlines earlier this year when the robot was refused entry into the prestigious Magic Circle.
Now the pair will bring their act to South Shields as David, who is a former British Magic Champion and member of The Inner Magic Circle with Gold Star, pioneers a new style of entertainment by incorporating mobile phones and cutting-edge technology into every routine.
With D4RYL by his side, he is looking to take the technological innovation even further.
David said: "Technology will never replace wonder – it just amplifies it."
