Boldon man charged with GBH following incident at pub in Gateshead

A Boldon man has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm after an alleged serious assault at a pub in Gateshead.

Tony Quinn, of Follonsby Terrace, Boldon, has been charged following an incident at the Shakespeare pub at about 4.30pm on Sunday.

The victim of the alleged attack - a 31-year-old man - remains in hospital with serious injuries, and is in a critical but stable conditions.

Inquiries are ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 1128 31/07/16.
