Cash stolen from Hebburn club's till

The theft took place at the Hebburn Protestant Conservative club in Station Road at 10.53am yesterday.

An offender gained entry to the club and grabbed at the money in the till before making off.

Police are now appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.

A Northumbria Police spokesman said: "An offender gained entry to the premises and grabbed at money in the till before making off.

"We are carrying out inquires in the area and would urge anyone with information to get in touch."
