Could not fault care
I wish more people in South Tyneside would realise how lucky we are to have such a good hospital in South Shields.
My 94-year-old mother-in-law has recently been discharge from Ward 19, where she had been since early December, and we could not fault the care she received.
All grades of staff showed kindness and consideration throughout her stay and the ward was clean and cheerful.
Having some experience of services elsewhere in the country, I and my family feel that we are extremely fortunate in our local hospital service and the great team on Ward 19.
