Reality TV star Mark Wright was man of the match as England beat the Rest of the World in last night's Soccer Aid charity game.

And according to TV pundit Chris Kamara, the star of reality show The Only Way Is Essex has been so impressive in training that Sam Allardyce would "consider" signing him for Sunderland next season.

Before his appearances on The Only Way Is Essex, Wright was a semi-professional footballer, with a youth career at West Ham United, Arsenal, and Tottenham Hotspur.

He started his senior career with Southend United, but moved into nightclub promoting and playing semi-professionally.

His wife, former Coronation Street actress Michelle Keegan, watched her other half in last night's match, and posed for a picture with him in the Old Trafford dressing room afterwards.

She congratulated him on the win with a Twitter message saying she couldn't have been prouder of his performance.

"Amazing night! SO proud of @MarkWright_ for absolutely smashing it! Welldone to every1 involved for raising money for such a good cause" she wrote.
