Court Round-up: Owner fined over dangerously out-of-control dog

Nathan Young, 23, of Brabourne Street, South Shields, was ordered to pay a total of £689.49 compensation after admitting two counts of being the owner of a dog which was dangerously out of control in Whitburn on Monday, August 3.

Garry Miller, 21, of Aln Street, Hebburn, was fined £25 for failing to comply with the curfew requirement of a community order made by South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, December 15.

Anthony Richardson, 58, of Hedgeley Road, Hebburn, was given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £30 compensation after admitting a charge of assault in South Tyneside on Monday, September 21.

Jordan Storey, 25, of Pentland Close, Peterlee, was fined £40 after admitting being in possession of cannabis in South Shields on Monday, November 30.

He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £50 and a £20 victim surcharge.

Kurt Fitzpatrick, 22, of Oak Avenue, South Shields, was given a 12-month conditional discharge and must pay £75 compensation after admitting causing criminal damage to a windscreen of a Renault Megane car in South Shields on Sunday, October 18.He must also pay £85 prosecution costs and a £15 victim surcharge.

Dylan Jenkins, 18, of Middleham Close, Chester-le-Street, was given a 16-week jail sentence, suspended for 12 months, after admitting an assault in South Shields on Saturday, October 31. He must also keep to a 9pm to 7am electronically monitored curfew for a period of eight weeks and pay compensation of £100.

Christopher Hilton, 24, of Gorse Avenue, South Shields, was given a 20-day prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, for obstructing a police constable in the execution of her duty in South Tyneside on Saturday, August 8. He must also pay prosecution costs of £85 and an £80 victim surcharge.

Stacey Wilson, 30, of Candilish Street, South Shields, was given a 12-month community order and must pay a total of £30.50 for carrying out thefts at Asda, in Washington, and Sainsbury, South Shields on Saturday, November 28 and Farmfoods, South Shields on Monday, November 30.

She must also pay prosecution costs of £85 and a £60 victim surcharge.
