10 Sunderland and South Tyneside criminals dealt with by magistrates

Jason Kyle Devlin, 23, of Ennerdale Crescent, Sunderland, was given a 12-month conditional discharge after pleading guilty to being drunk and disorderly. He was ordered to pay costs of £50 and a £21 surcharge.

Tahib Hussain, 19, of Wenlock Road, South Shields, was fined £220 after a charge of being drunk and disorderly was proved in his absence. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £21 surcharge.

Robert Michael Lund, 24, of Roker Avenue, Sunderland, was jailed for 16 weeks, suspended for 18 months, after he pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer. He was ordered to pay £150 compensation.

Adam Robert Stewart, 30, address not given, admitted possession of amphetamine in Sunderland. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £21 surcharge.

Jason Lee Dodgin, 48, of Sorley Street, Sunderland, was fined £80 after he admitted breaching a community order.

Daniel Barnes 32, of Esdale Rise, Sunderland, was fined £120 after he pleaded guilty to threatening behaviour. He was ordered to pay £100 costs and a surcharge of £32.

Christopher Urquhart Clarke, 42, of Burnhope Road, Houghton, was found guilty of failing to give driver information to the police. He was fined £975 and ordered to pay £120 costs and a surcharge of £97. He was also given six penalty points on his licence.

Carole Anne Brennan, 58, of Madras Street, South Shields, pleaded guilty to threatening behaviour and was fined £162. She was ordered to pay £150 costs and a surcharge of £32.

John Winter Edward Brennan, 32, of Madras Street, South Shields, was fined £108 after he admitted threatening behaviour. He was ordered to pay £150 costs and a £32 surcharge.

Nathan Andrew Maddison, 27, of Bruce Street, Sunderland, admitted having a television set which someone else was going to use without a licence and was fined £92. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge.
