Attempted murder, aggravated burglary and harassment - 15 criminals jailed for offences in South Tyneside
The courts have been busy in the first weeks of 2022.

Here are 15 people jailed for offences in and around South Tyneside during January and February.
They all appeared at Newcastle Crown Court unless otherwise stated.

5. Mark Elliot

Thomas Lee, 21, of no fixed address and James Lee, 27, of Henry Nelson Street, South Shields, were found guilty of attempted murder of Emma Robinson and attempting to wound with intent. James Lee had admitted an unrelated child cruelty charge and dangerous driving and was convicted of possessing ammunition when prohibited. Judge Penny Moreland sentenced the pair to 24 years each behind bars.
