It was reported to the force at around 10.30pm on Sunday, November 24.

Officers are calling for information from the public and have asked that anyone who was in the area at the time, or who saw a group of men acting suspiciously between 10.20pm and midnight, to contact them.

Detective Inspector Sean Mcguigan, of Southern CID, said: “This was a frightening incident for the various victims and involved three men acting in an aggressive and intimidating manner.

“After threatening a man who was known to them, we then received a number of reports from members of the public who claimed they were walking in the middle of the road and had tried to break into their vehicles as they were driving past.

“Thankfully, the men were unsuccessful in their attempts but we are treating this crime incredibly seriously and are now appealing for anyone who saw anything, or can help to come forward by contacting 101 quoting reference 1027 241119.”
