Assault, drug driving and other recent South Shields court cases

The following cases from the South Shields area were dealt with recently at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court:

Connor Robert Clark, 20, of Delaval Court, South Shields, was banned from driving for 28 months, ordered to complete 200 hours of unpaid work as part of a community order and to pay a £90 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs after admitting drug driving, careless driving, failing to stop, driving without a valid licence and and without insurance on April 1.

Glen Little, 37, of Mortimer Road, South Shields, was fined £135 and ordered to pay a £30 victim surcharge and £300 costs after he was convicted of four counts of breaching a non-molestation order between March 5-21 last year.

Kevin Hunter, 38, of Kingsley Avenue, South Shields, was banned from driving for six months, placed on a community order and ordered to pay a £350 fine, £50 compensation, £95 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting assault, failing to provide a specimen of breath, making threats and two counts of breaching bail conditions between August 28-December 12.

Christopher James Morrison, 20, of Wharton Street, South Shields, was fined £40 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting possessing cannabis on December 12.

Alexander James Jonathan Kesteris-Graham, 24, of Chesterton Road, South Shields, was fined £40 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting using threatening or abusive words or behaviour on October 23.

Mark Alan Kerton, 29, of Collingwood Street, Hebburn, was ordered to pay a £270 fine, £125 compensation, £34 victim surcharge and £100 costs after admitting assault on October 17.

Jason Geoghegan, 33, of Newmarket Walk, South Shields, was fined £40 after admitting one count of failing to comply with the terms of a suspended sentence on October 5 and October 19.
