Elderly woman taken to hospital after being hit by car on Frederick Street
Emergency services attended a collision in South Shields where a woman in her 70s was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police attended a report of a collision shortly after 10.45am today, November 24 on Frederick Street in South Shields.
A female pedestrian in her 70s was taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries after the incident which involved a collision with a vehicle.

Hide AdA Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “Shortly after 10.45am today (Tuesday) we received a report of a collision involving a vehicle and a female pedestrian on Frederick Street, South Shields.
“Emergency services attended the scene and a woman in her 70s was taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
“Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances surrounding the incident. Any witnesses are asked to contact police via the ‘Tell Us Something’ page of our website or by calling 101 quoting log 256 241120.”
