Harassment, speeding and drink driving - a round up of latest South Shields court cases

The following cases from South Shields and South Tyneside were dealt with at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court recently:

Neil Burnett, 42, of Mowbray Road, South Shields, was fined £40 by the court and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs after admitting separate charges of being drunk and disorderly in King Street, South Shields, on August 2 and August 7.

Paul Calvert, 50, of Ocean Road, South Shields, was banned from driving for 16 months, fined £120 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs after admitting drink driving on August 2.

Lee Walsh, 24, of College Road, Hebburn, was fined £300 and ordered by the court to pay £60 prosecution costs after admitting breaching a community order imposed in 2015 as part of a previous sentence.

Danielle Sinclair Freer, 39, of Longstaff Gardens, South Shields, was banned from driving for six months, fined £100 and ordered to pay a £32 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs after admitting speeding in Sunderland Road, Cleadon, on September 3.

Simon Harrison, 27, of Larch Avenue, South Shields, was placed on a 12-month restraining order, given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £21 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs after admitting harassment on September 3.

Kieron Robert Wynne, 18, of Dock Street, South Shields, was fined £40 by the court and was ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs after admitting attempting to possess valium on August 2.
