Pair face machete and pistol charges as seven appear in court over disturbance in Jarrow's Arran Drive
Northumbria Police were called to Arran Drive, on the Scotch Estate, Jarrow, at around 2pm on Saturday, June 6, following reports of a dispute involving two groups of men.
Seven men, who are all from the South Tyneside area, have been charged following their arrests and all appeared at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court on Monday, June 8.

Hide AdThe next hearing will take place at Newcastle Crown Court on Monday, July 6.


The seven men are:
Dean Ratcliffe, 25, of Leslie Avenue, Hebburn, has been charged with violent disorder, possessing an imitation firearm and assault by beating. He was remanded in custody.
Connor Williams, 25, of Arran Drive, Jarrow, has been charged with violent disorder and threatening a person with a bladed article. He has also been remanded in custody.
Kieran Lincoln, 26, of Olive Street, South Shields, has been charged with violent disorder. He has been remanded in custody.

Hide AdDaniel Purvis, 29, of Bishop Crescent, Jarrow, William Tisseman, 22, of Vespasian Avenue, South Shields, Cory Patterson, 24, of Emlyn Road, South Shields, and Shaun McCord, 34, of Abbey Drive, Jarrow, have been charged with violent disorder.
They have all been released on conditional bail.
None of the men entered a plea during the hearing which was presided over by District Judge Kate Meek.
