Northumbria Police’s Marine Unit covers a stretch of the North East from Berwick down to Seaham, but can be called in by other forces to help in investigations and operations.

Here, the 15-strong team share photos they have taken while out on training missions and tasks, with our own visit to their base in Jarrow offering a look round their headquarters on the bank of the River Tyne.
