Police find body in search for missing North East man
And although formal identification has not yet taken place, officers say they believe it is that of Jordan Patterson.
Jordan, 25, was first reported missing on Monday, February 1, after failing to turn up for a medical appointment.

Hide AdEnquiries at his home address in the Rooksleigh area of Winlaton in Gateshead failed to locate him and he failed to pick up his prescription medication..


CCTV of his last movements were released to the public in a bid to trace his whereabouts.
But sadly a member of the public contacted police this afternoon, Wednesday,February 17, reporting he had found the body of a man in Blaydon Burn.

Hide AdOfficers attended the location and, although formal identification is yet to take place, they do believe it is Jordan.
Detective Chief Inspector Angela Hufton said: “We have been searching for Jordan since he was reported missing and were still hopeful of locating him fit and well.
“This is a devastating outcome for Jordan’s family and friends and they will continue to receive the support of specialist officers.
“I want to thank everyone who shared our appeals and those who contacted us with information they believed could have assisted our enquiries.

Police do not believe there to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be prepared for the Coroner in due course.
