Officers were called to Hebburn Riverside Park after a man was spotted walking around naked in the area at around 3.30pm on Friday, April 16.
The man was not reported to have approached anybody.
Police searched the park but were unable to find the man. Now officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

A Northumbria Police spokesman said: “Shortly after 3.30pm on Friday, April 16 we received a report of a man walking around naked in the Hebburn Riverside Park area.
“The man in question is not reported to have approached anybody but officers were deployed to the area in a bid to locate him.
“Officers searched the park but the man was no longer present.
"Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police via the ‘Tell Us Something’ page of our website or by calling 101 quoting log 700 160421.”
