The latest crime hot spots across South Shields and South Tyneside have been revealed following the publication of official figures.

December’s Home Office data, which is available on its www.police.uk website, covers the borough’s three Northumbria Police neighbourhoods. All incidents are said to have taken place “on or near” named locations. November’s statistics are available here.

Nineteen incidents, including six violence and sexual offences (classed together) and six anti-social behaviour complaints, were reported to have taken place "on or near" this location.

The number of crimes reported to have taken place across Northumbria Police's three South Tyneside policing neighbourhoods in December 2020 was 1,578. This compares to 1,808 in November 2020 and 1,332 in December 2019.
The Home Office stresses on its www.police.uk website that locations "are only an approximation of where the actual crimes occurred, they are not the exact locations" and that incidents may on occasion have taken place "within a 1 mile radius".
