

Rogues gallery of criminals locked up for crimes linked to South Shields and the rest of South Tyneside in March and April

They are either from South Tyneside, or committed crimes in or linked to South Tyneside.

1. Lee Wall
Lee Wall, 43, was found guilty of murdering Daryl Fowler, who lived with his grandmother in South Shields. Wall, Chevington, Leam Lane, Gateshead, was given a life sentence and must serve at least 19 years before he can apply for parole. He also pleaded guilty to perverting the course of justice. 2. Emma Brown
Emma Brown, 40, the partner of Lee Wall, pleaded guilty to perverting the course of justice. The court heard she "invented" a story about murder victim Daryl Fowler being set upon by two unknown men. Brown disposed of the murder weapon down a drain but it was later recovered by police officers. She was sentenced to 21 months. Photo: Northumbria Police

3. Christopher Hope
Hope, 39, of no fixed abode, admitted affray and possession of an offensive weapon and was sentenced to 18 months in prison. He and Paul Hasney kicked their way into the home of a couple in South Shields in the early hours of the morning before brandishing weapons, leaving their victims terrified. 4. Paul Hasney
Paul Hasney, 34, of Newburn Court in South Shields, admitted affray and possession of a bladed article. He was sentenced to 18 months in prison.
