South Shields teenager fined for being drunk and disorderly in Ocean Road on Christmas Day

A teenager who failed to turn up to court on a charge of being drunk and disorderly on Christmas Day, has been found guilty in his absence.

District Judge Natalie Wortley found the case against Tahib Hussain, 19, of Wenlock Road, South Shields, proved.

South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court heard Hussain was arrested in Ocean Road, South Shields.

The judge fined him £200 with £85 court costs and a £32 victim surcharge, and ordered the money be paid within 28 days.
