South Shields woman caught driving Mercedes just days after being banned from the roads on New Year's Eve
A South Tyneside motorist was caught at the wheel of a Mercedes just days after being banned from the roads for drink-driving, a court heard.
Grace Cunningham, 35, of Manet Gardens, was stopped by police in the 2019-registration car in Nevinson Avenue, both in Whiteleas, South Shields, on Saturday, January 11 2020
South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court was told she had been disqualified from driving for 20 months on Tuesday, December 31 2019.
In her latest court appearance in front of magistrates, Cunningham pleaded guilty to the offences of driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.

Magistrates heard she was just a short distance from her home and there were no aggravating factors to her driving at the time of her arrest.
The case was adjourned for reports at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, August 11, and Cunningham was granted unconditional bail.
