Peter Timothy Cummins, 48, of Church View, Boldon Colliery, who denied failure to identify a driver but was convicted in absence, was fined £660 with six penalty points.

Katie Dickinson, 26, of Beach Road, South Shields, was jailed for four weeks, suspended for 18 months, for theft.

Richard James Foley, 42, of Jervis Street, Hebburn, was fined £530 and banned from driving for six months for using a vehicle without insurance or test certificate.

Myles Galbraith, 34, of Pine Avenue, South Shields, was fined £220 with three penalty points for speeding.

Korey Smith, 21, of Sorrel Gardens, South Shields, was fined £153 with three penalty points for driving without due care and attention and failure to stop for a police officer.

Anderley Maria Powell, 52, of Mill Lane, Hebburn, was fined £380 with six penalty points for two offences of failure to identify a driver.

Mark Anthony Walker, 49, of Robson Close, South Shields, was fined £660 and banned from driving for six months for failure to identify a driver.
