New figures reveal the latest crime hot spots across South Shields and South Tyneside.
September’s Home Office data, released on its www.police.uk website, covers Northumbria Police’s three policing neighbourhoods for the area with all cases said to have taken place “on or near” named locations. All addresses are in South Shields unless otherwise stated. August’s figures for the borough are available here.

The overall number of crimes reported across the three policing neighbourhoods was 1,711 in September 2020. This compares to 1,814 incidents in August 2020 and 1,673 in September last year. Photo: Stu Norton
