Democracy will win

The letter from Ian G K Jones, North East Lib Dems EU Referendum Co-ordinator', on April 13 says that the EU is not perfect, that it needs further renewal and reform to meet the challenges of the 21st century.

Well, they all appear to be out of touch and out of reach and especially taking into account HM Government’s Pro Euro Leaflet sent out to the great unwashed at a cost of £9.3million.

It believes that voting to remain in the European Union is the best decision for the UK.

However, I have come to the conclusion that as long as we are directed and controlled by an unelected band of officials at the head of a federation known as the EU things won’t change.

So on the day when it’s announced Britain has Brexited, I will fill my favourite Meerkat mug with champagne and drink to democracy.
