Christmas is right around the corner so here are some of the Dogs Trust dogs searching for a home just in time.
The dogs are looking across the North and North East for a family from centres such as Darlington, Leeds and Cumbria.
But remember, a dog is forever and not just for Christmas.
Here are the 13 of the gorgeous pups in need of a home.

9. Mario (Pomeranian, 11-years-old)
Mario is our gorgeous boy who's age says he's a golden oldie Pomeranian cross! At nearly 12 years old you wouldn't believe it! He is a charming Pom, he is active, enjoys play, walks and walks well on the lead and enjoys spending time in the garden, so a garden would be ideal but not required if you can ensure he gets enough walks and sniffs out and about throughout the day. Mario loves his treats and also is a softie who loves a bum scratch and a belly rub. He is a pom, so cuddles are when he chooses them! He'll happily go on an hour walk and then come home and play with his tennis ball or soft toy. He like a squeakie toy too! If Mario is the kind of dog you are looking for then please apply to be matched with Mario | DT Photo: Dogs Trust Cumbria

10. AJ (Pointer Cross, one-two years)
AJ is a fabulous energetic boy who will make a wonderful addition to your home. He could live with another female dog (after successful meet at the centre near Penrith) He has come from a home where he has been loved and well socialised, he has lived with another dog and when out walking has buddies. He is very bouncy and sometimes forgets that paws should be kept on floors, so would be better looking for a home with any children being over the age of 12 years. He’d like an active home, he is a mixture of very active working breeds, so will need a home that will match his energy level. Engage a dog like AJ in activities and training and you’ll have a companion to count on and a friend for life. | Dogs Trust Photo: Dogs Trust Cumbria

11. Ellie (Greyhound, two-years-old)
Ellie is small for a greyhound, she just loves a fuss, occasionally she has barked at some dogs on walks, however recently has been on a greyhound walk with 65 other dogs and behaved herself impeccably, she is house trained, she is Fully vaccinated, neutered , microchipped, and recently had a scale and polish with the vets. She has No outstanding medical needs, Ellie is an unraced greyhound with no injuries. She is crate trained and sleeps in the crate overnight in her foster home Her time in foster has seen her share a home with 4 male greyhounds, she was somewhat bossy with the boys, we think she could share with a male neutered dog pending a successful meet at the our centre near Penrith, or she'd love to be the only dog and lap up all the attention. Ellie is ready to go home with you on the day you meet her, as with most of our foster dogs. So please only apply if you are ready to accept her into your heart and your home on the day of the meet. | DT Photo: Dogs Trust Cumbria

12. Raven (Great Dane Cross, five-seven years)
Raven is looking for a home through no fault of her own. She has loved throughout life and is part of the family, unfortunately circumstances have changed and Raven find herself ready to find a family to call her own for the rest of her life. Raven knows a few basic commands, she enjoys treats, and playing with toys, this will help build a bond when continuing training with her. She is housetrained. Raven can be vocal when unfamiliar people approach, this said she soon quietens down and is friendly to new people she meets (after she shouted at them). She does not do this to her family or people she knows. | DT Photo: Dogs Trust Cumbria
