Christmas is right around the corner so here are some of the Dogs Trust dogs searching for a home just in time.
The dogs are looking across the North and North East for a family from centres such as Darlington, Leeds and Cumbria.
But remember, a dog is forever and not just for Christmas.
Here are the 13 of the gorgeous pups in need of a home.

9. Sophie (Siberian Husky, eight years)
Sophie is very friendly with everyone she meets and the more she gets to know you, the more you’ll see her affectionate, snuggly side come through. She is very typical of her Husky breed and will thrive with an active family who plan to take her on lots of fun outdoors adventures. She travels great in a car so getting out and about with her will be easy. (Dogs Trust Leeds) | Dogs Trust

10. Mia (Beagle, two-five years)
Mia has a massive love for toys and really enjoys having play time, but swaps will need to be done during play time. She travels well in the car and will enjoy going out on fun adventures with her family. She would love to have a secure garden to potter around in and enjoy all the smells. Once Mia settles down for a snooze, she likes to be left to herself to enjoy her rest. | Dogs Trust Photo: Dogs Trust Darlington

11. Kes (Lurcher, nine years)
Kes is a lovely 9-year-old gent who is looking for a home that will give him all the love and attention that he deserves. He is a lively lad who is still up for learning new things for tasty treats. Kes could share his home with another dog pending a successful introduction but would have to be fed separately as he prefers to have space away from other animals and humans while he eats. Kes has always lived outside so would need to have someone around to help him settle into his new environment and just be patient with him while he adapts to his surroundings. Although he has lived outside, we do believe he is house trained as he prefers not to toilet in his room here at the centre. So, he may just need a little brush up on his house training once he goes home. Kes can live with older teenagers that are aged 16 and over. | Dogs Trust Photo: Dogs Trust Darlington

12. Tucker (Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross, five-seven years)
Tucker is the sweetest boy with a friendly and playful nature who has had a lot of upheaval in his life so is looking for a calm home. He will need to be the only pooch in the home and will be best walked in quiet areas as he can be reactive to other dogs. For this reason he will need to be kept on lead and wear a muzzle when he is out and about on his adventures. He can share his home with secondary school aged children (14+) who will appreciate that Tucker prefers the quiet life. Once settled into his home Tucker will be ok to be left for a few hours on his own. | Dogs Trust Photo: Dogs Trust Darlington
