Christmas is right around the corner so here are some of the Dogs Trust dogs searching for a home just in time.
The dogs are looking across the North and North East for a family from centres such as Darlington, Leeds and Cumbria.
But remember, a dog is forever and not just for Christmas.
Here are the 13 of the gorgeous pups in need of a home.

9. Missi (Lurcher, six-years-old)
Everyone who knows Missi absolutely adores her! She is a very sweet, loving and playful girl. She loves lots of attention and will snuggle on the sofa with you all day! She is also great fun to train and she's already learned lots and would love to learn more. Missi's perfect new family will be active adults who have an interest in dog training, enjoy peaceful walks, and love LOTS of sofa snuggles! All you need to do is give her a little space initially to let her come round in her own time. | DT Photo: Dogs Trust Leeds

10. Storm (Rottweiler Cross, two-five years)
Storm is a big bundle of fun who is guaranteed to capture your heart! She loves playing with toys and will show off her puppy-like mannerisms as soon as a cuddly toy comes out. She will happily play a game of fetch or take herself off on her own for play time. Storm can be strong on lead when she wants to, but we feel this is very manageable for someone confident with bigger dogs. She really enjoys having a tasty treat which will help with her ongoing training. She will need plenty of mental stimulation in the home such a destruction boxes and activity puzzles. Storm is an absolute bundle of joy who cannot wait to find her forever home. | DT Photo: Dogs Trust Darlington

11. Stan (Pointer Cross, six-years-old)
Stan The Man is quite simply AWESOME! He is one of the smartest dogs we’ve ever had, and he really shines when he’s learning. He’s currently living in a foster home and he’s proving to be the perfect sofa buddy! He walks lovely on lead, although can be very strong so needs adopters who can hold on tight when needed! He loves his walkies in quieter areas where he won't have off-lead dogs running up to him, and as well as his walkies he would also curl up on the sofa all day if he could! He loves showing off his training tricks and sniffing out exciting trails. His nose really is second to none! All his handlers adore this big snuggly lad, and we guarantee if you give him a chance you will too. | Dogs Trust Photo: DT

12. Bracken (Cocker Spaniel, four-years-old)
Bracken is a sweet boy who lacks confidence. He has had a few homes already and this has led him to him feeling very insecure. He will need a dedicated adult only home that will have someone home throughout the day for him to settle in and find his paws. Bracken does have separation anxiety, so it is essential that his family are patient with him and pawsitively introduce any time spent alone. A family with experience around separation anxiety could be beneficial for him. Bracken would like to be the only pooch in the home and preferably walked in low dog populated areas as he is worried about other dogs and will try to avoid them. Bracken will need his new family to visit him a few times at the centre before we start the process of home visits and slowly transitioning him into his home. | DT Photo: Dogs Trust Darlington
