Dogs Trust Darlington currently have 50 gorgeous dogs and puppies up for adoption.
The North East centre is looking for lovely people to care and provide the adorable creatures with a second chance and loving home.
Here are 15 of the pups searching for their forever home.

9. Mac (Crossbreed)
Mac is a beautiful boy, both inside and out who loves nothing more than spending time with his carers who all adore him. He is a clean boy and not destructive in his kennel. He knows a few tricks and will enjoy learning more in the home - especially if toys are on offer as he does love to play with them. His character really shines through the more that you get to know him. He loves nothing more than a good run in a secure field, playing with his toys and then a snuggle on the sofa with his favourite carers. With patient, kind owners who will allow him the time to acclimatise himself to his new life at his own speed, he will be a pleasure. The staff here all love him, could you fall under the spell of Magic Mac! (Credit: Dogs Trust) | Dogs Trust

10. Patch (English Springer Spaniel)
Sweet Patch is such a sensitive soul, and he really is looking for a special home. He gets overwhelmed at times, but he is adapting to new experiences well. He enjoys his walks but prefers the centre and park when it’s quiet, as he dislikes noisy environments. Once Patch builds a bond with someone, he is visibly much more comfortable and settled. He’s happy to be handled by people he knows and looks to his handlers when in a situation such as a vet exam. He is friendly with people, but he must be allowed to approach them, rather than the other way around. Patch LOVES his toys! We know that when Patch was young, he had no access to toys or beds, so he does worry at times that we are going to take them from him. His handlers are working on a “drop” cue so that we can trade him for another toy and help him feel less worried. Having had no access to a bed, he doesn’t use them when offered, and will need an armchair or similar of his own, that he knows he won’t be moved from. His adopters must be willing to work on an “off” cue, and not attempt to physically move him from it. Patch also has a tendency to pinch household items, which we believe to be due to his lack of appropriate toys as a young dog. Adopters will need to continue some training with these things once Patch is home. (Credit: Dogs Trust) | Dogs Trust

11. Brooke (Staffordshite Bull Terrier Cross)
Brooke is an amazing girl who just needs time to come out of her shell. She’s done amazing with her intro plan making some special friends here at the centre, and we can’t wait to pass this on to her forever family and show of her wonderful personality. Brooke is very clever knowing a few tricks already and is eager to keep her brain active by learning a few more. Enrichment games are another way to keep her mind working and focused. Brooke is a huge fan of her toys with a ball being her favourite. Sharing is still something new but her swapsies skills are making progress. If you are looking for an affectionate Staffy type to continue training with, then Brooke will be a very rewarding pupil and will show you so much love in return! (Credit: Dogs Trust) | Dogs Trust

12. Mouse (American Bulldog Cross)
Mouse loves her toys, and they really bring out her playful side. She can break out in to zoomies while having toy time so would be beneficial for her to have a secure garden to have play time in. Mouse loves her food and will love to spend time with her family learning new things and having fun training sessions. Mouse is a real sweetheart who will make such a lovely addition to a loving home. (Credit: Dogs Trust) | Dogs Trust
