Have you been thinking about adopting a dog?
There are so many gorgeous dogs in search of their forever home this week across the North and North East.
Darlington, Cumbria and Leeds rehoming centres are hoping to find lovely homes for their dogs in order to give them the best possible lives.
Here are just 17 of the dogs searching for a loving family and forever home this week.

13. Arizona-Charlie (Shih Tzu, two-five years)
AC loves toys, he likes to chase and fetch balls. Soft toys are also lots of fun and if they squeak that's even better, He sleeps with his furry cow toy and cuddles him, AC is used to sleeping wherever he chooses, and has access to all the furniture in the house. He likes to cuddle up on the sofa. In his home he has been used to walking for miles on the beach, he loves to paddle and enjoys off lead time in a secure field. He is an active little guy. He enjoys rides out in the car, when walking he can bark at passing cars, his home have been working on this and rewarding with treats when getting it right. AC is not fond of the groomers so will need patient and understanding groomers when he attends for regular grooming. He also doesn’t enjoy being dressed up or having a coat put on. Arizona Charlie would be suited to a home that has experience & knowledge of Shih Tzus. | DT Photo: Dogs Trust Cumbria

14. Tim (Crossbreed, one year)
Tim is a 1 year old Yorkie x Chihuahua who is looking for his forever home. Tim has been the best boy in foster, and adores cuddles from his foster mom. Tim is a very effectionate dog, and would like a potential adopter to be happy with a lap dog, as this is his faviourite spot. | DT Photo: Dogs Trust Cumbria

15. Spud (Shar Pei, five months)
Spud is a 5-month-old Shar Pei. Spud can get anxious when left so needs adopters around all the time initially to settle him in. He is big and can be very bouncy and would prefer a quiet home without too much coming and going. Teenage children would be fine, and he would be okay with occasional visiting children. Spud can be vocal when out and about, especially around other dogs, so he would need walking in quiet areas, and he would need to be the only dog in the home. Spud is housetrained. | DT Photo: Dogs Trust Leeds

16. Rory (Lurcher, four years)
Rory is a stunning and super friendly 4yr old Lurcher who was found as a stray. He is quite a big lad so young children won't be suitable, but he'll be fine with teenagers who are already confident around dogs. He'll need to be housetrained but seems quick to learn things so we're sure his settling in will be nice and easy. He's shown himself to be friendly with other dogs at the centre but will settle better on his own so needs to be the only pet in his home. He really doesn't like being on his own, so he'll need someone around all the time and very slowly build him up to short periods alone but in his own time, which could take a while. | DT Photo: Dogs Trust Leeds
