There are so many puppies in search of their forever home this week across the North and North East.
Darlington, Cumbria and Leeds rehoming centres are hoping to find lovely homes for their dogs in order to give them the best possible lives.
Here are just 17 of the dogs searching for a forever home this January.

9. Summer & May (Weimaraner, six & one years)
Summer is a gorgeous 6yr old Weimaraner who is looking for a very special home with her daughter, 1yr old May. Together Summer and May are the perfect combo! They will need some time and space initially to build a bond, but once you're in their gang you'll find them fun, friendly and quite playful when the mood takes them! If you're looking for a very loyal and loving pair of dogs to complete your home and are happy to help them find their feet slowly then you might be a perfect match for Summer and May. | DT Photo: Dogs Trust

10. Nugget (Whippet, one year)
Nugget is a scrummy 1yr old Whippet Crossbreed who LOVES being with her human friends. She is quite worried by other dogs, but doesn't look for trouble choosing instead to avoid them. She'll need to be the only pet in her home. She can get a little giddy so young children wouldn't be suitable for her but older kids who are more dog savvy would be fine. | DT Photo: Dogs Trust

11. Prince (Border Collie Cross, three years)
All Prince’s handlers love him to bits as he’s so smart and very eager to learn. He’s basically a Collie in Staffy clothing! He’s quite doggy social out and about so will be fine to have walking buddies once introduced properly. He LOVES his toys and really enjoys fetching tennis balls and playing ragger! Once he’s settled into his new home, he should be fine on his own for a few hours. So get this sweet Prince added to your favourites NOW and we’ll see if you’re a good match for him. | DT Photo: Dogs Trust

12. Sky (Boxer Cross, three years)
Sky is a great young dog who is friendly with everyone she meets, although can be a little shy initially. Giving her a little space will soon have her showing you her sweet personality. She enjoys plenty of exercise. She is also very smart and being very foody means she has bags of training potential. Playtime with her is tons of fun! She loves her toys and likes flinging them around! if you are looking for a fun and energetic dog for lots of adventures then Sky might be a great match for you. | DT Photo: Dogs Trust
