Dogs Trust: 21 incredible dogs and puppies looking for a forever home in the North East

Here are the beautiful pups hoping to find their forever home in the North East and beyond.

Dogs Trust has so many amazing dogs up for adoption with the hope of finding forever homes for all.

Darlington, Leeds and Cumbria rehoming centres have over 80 dogs in search of their families and this is just a small selection of those on offer.

Here we have 21 gorgeous pups in need of a home in time for Summer.

Ruby is a bubbly 1yr old Bulldog who LOVES everyone she meets. She has recently lost one eye, but she this hasn't slowed her down one bit! She can have doggy walking buddies, but she didn't enjoy sharing her home previously so needs to be the only pet. She isn't one for long walks, instead preferring short potters and sniffing around a garden, so her home must have a secure garden for her to explore. She tries her best to be clean indoors but may need a little housetraining refresh as she settles in. She'll need someone around all the time initially to properly settle her in.

He LOVES toys and also meeting new people however he can get very OTT and silly so isn't one to be around children. Alfie is pretty much the same with dogs and gets very enthusiastic and over playful, he would be better as the only pet until he can learn a little self control.

Archie is worried by unfamiliar sounds and traffic and would like a quieter environment away from any main roads. He is friendly with people but due to his training needs would be best in a home without young children, children aged 12+ should be ok. Archie is friendly with other dogs and could potentially live with a doggy companion. Archie will not be suitable to live with cats.

Jenny is a real sweetheart once she's had time to build a relationship. She is playful, affectionate and lots of fun! She walks well on lead and enjoys exploring quiet areas. She LOVES her toys and will play all day if you give her the chance! She is pretty foody and very keen to learn, so ongoing training should be easy once she's settled into her new routine. Our team are confident that in the right home Jenny will blossom and we'll be on hand every step of the way to help and guide her family through her settling in. She just needs someone to give her the chance she deserves.
