Dogs Trust Darlington currently has 45 gorgeous dogs and puppies up for adoption.
The North East centre is looking for lovely people to care for and provide the adorable creatures with a second chance and loving home.
Here are the nine adorable pups searching for a forever home.

5. Tucker (Staffordshire Bull Terrier, 5-7 years)
Tucker is an adorable boy who loves meeting new people. He loves playing with toys and to explore on walks in quiet areas but is equally happy to snooze on the sofa. Tuckers new family will be asked to come and meet him a few times before going in to his forever home. (Dogs Trust) | DT

6. Josie (Lurcher Cross, 1 year)
Josie is a 1 year old Lurcher cross who is going to be so much fun in the home. She will need to attend hydrotherapy (free of charge) at least once a week here at the centre in the near future to help build her back to full fitness, this can be reduced once she is back to full health. Josie does require a second operation on her other other hip in the next couple of months, this will need to be done at our vets in Bishop Auckland and is fully funded by Dogs Trust. Josie is happy to entertain herself with toys but even better if you join in the fun! Treats are a great reward for working on her training which she takes super gently. It is going to be a pleasure to watch this amazing girl grow up. (Dogs Trust) | DT

7. Bracken, 4 years
Bracken is a 4-year-old spaniel who will need his family to help with his weight loss. He enjoys being out and exploring in quiet areas which will help him with his weight loss. Once Bracken gets to know you the more comfortable, he gets with handling and affection. When eat his meals or any tasty long-lasting chews he will be best to be left on his own and given space while he enjoys his food. Once he has built a lovely bond, he enjoys playing with toys but swaps will need to be done as he is not a fan of sharing. Bracken is a really sweet heart once he has built up a lovely bond with you and is definitely worth the work. (Dogs Trust) | DT

8. Digger (Crossbreed, 11 years)
Digger is a very bubbly 11yr old Terrier Cross and is SUPER affectionate once he knows you. Sadly Digger has had little experience of home life and this has left him with a few anxieties. He's very sensitive to noise, so his home will ideally be in a peaceful area away from busy roads and outdoor noise. Although he can't share his home with any other pets, he is sociable around dogs on walks once introduced, so owners will be encouraged to continue finding him pals. Digger's list of tricks is endless and he is extremely clever so he will enjoy learning new things or equally show off his repertoire to you for a tasty treat. He will need to meet his new owners multiple times before he goes home so owners must be committed to attend the centre for these meets. | DT
