Drone footage shows devastation of auction rooms fire
With the lasts wisps of smoke rising past the camera, this drone footage shows the scale of the devastation at Jarrow Auction Rooms.
The historic building was ravaged fire in the early hours of Friday morning, with dozens of fire fighters working well past dawn to bring the blaze under control and dowse the final flames.
The owner of the Bede Burn Road business said about £50,000 worth of stock went up in flames, on top of the devastating damage done to the premises.
Tyne & Wear Fire and Rescue Service have now released drone footage which shows the level of damage, and the operation to bring the fire under control.
