She said: “I really want to be a forensic scientist, but I know there’s not many jobs out there, so I may have to have a rethink nearer the time, but that’s what I really want to do.

“I’m going to be staying on at the school’s sixth form and will be doing A-levels in geography, maths and chemistry.

“I am really pleased with my results. I studied a lot, so I’m happy.”

Daniel wants to be a stockbroker after getting one A*, six As, two Bs and one C.

However, a self-critical Daniel, who is also staying on at the school’s sixth form to study A-levels in maths, further maths, physics and philosophy and ethics, wanted to do even better.

The 16-year-old said: “I’m not really that pleased, I’d have liked a few more A*s to be honest. But I am hoping to be a stockbroker.”
