Governments fail workers

Working part-time hours and still be taxed is slavery. It is an outrage that almost next to nothing these days is free from taxation.

If taxation was lower we would have more people working and families would be better off.

I believe, as do many of you who have spoken to me, that Government has failed to reduce taxation to an acceptable level. Politicians have allowed low pay and high taxes for far too long.

I propose a three pledge new deal on tax – zero National Insurance on Income below £15,500; zero council tax on income below £15,500; zero Income Tax on income below £15,500. This is the triple tax guarantee that I pledge to you.

It reduces poverty and reduces the welfare bill with no negatives for the country it is time that the Government and the Labour Opposition started listening to the citizens that they are supposed to serve.
