Hebburn flooring firm sets its sights on new showroom

Flooring Works has enjoyed a record number of visits to its newly-refurbished showroom in Hebburn.

Now, company director Martin Blane has set his sights on opening a second showroom to cater for its increasing customer base.

The company has recently undergone a major re-brand and has launched a state-of-the-art website.

Mr Blane launched his company – the only North East based retailer to be granted Platinum Status by luxury flooring brand Karndean - in 2010.

He said: “Flooring Works has been fortunate enough to have grown year upon year, and we are always looking for new ways to build and improve.

“We hope to open a second store in the next 18 months, which will help us increase our customer base and ensure we are able to cover a much wider area in the region.

“Our aim is to provide our customers with the ultimate service at a price that is fair and affordable.

“We want to give people access to the world’s leading flooring brands, as well as a professional flooring installation service that other firms in the region simply cannot offer.”

Specialising in leading home flooring brands such as Karndean, Amtico and Moduleo, the company has grown rapidly since its launch .

It has re-invested much of its profits back into the firm by employing more showroom flooring experts and luxury design flooring fitters throughout the North East.

Flooring Works, based in Hartleyburn Avenue, has also been granted Tier One status by Amtico, one of the world’s other highly-sought-after vinyl and tiling providers.

Mr Blane, who runs the company alongside his wife Kyle, added: “Flooring Works has great connections with manufacturers and suppliers throughout the flooring trade, ensuring we have a large selection of products, all at competitive prices.
