Hebburn Helps benefits from a 60-second trolley dash in South Shields
A trolley dash has helped secure essentials for a South Tyneside foodbank.
Angie Comerford, the co-founder of Hebburn Helps, has taken part in a 60-second trolley dash to secure more than £100 worth of essentials for the charity.
The foodbank founder was nominated to take part in the Snappy Shopper Store Dash at Horsley Hill Premier, on Horsley Hill Square, in South Shields.
Angie was given 60 seconds to sprint around the store, which is run by Jag Singh, to grab as many essentials as she could ahead of the busy Christmas period for Hebburn Helps.

Speaking after completing the dash, Angie said: “The dash was so much fun.
“I can’t thank everyone enough for nominating me and to Jag and the Snappy Shopper team for letting someone from Hebburn in the shop.
“60 seconds of fun was definitely had, and I came out with over £100 worth of shopping to go to Hebburn Helps.”
Jag added: “Angie did absolutely amazing at the dash. I’m really pleased it will help Hebburn Helps this Christmas.”
The trolley dash was part of Horsley Hill Premier’s celebrations of teaming up with Snappy Shopper, bringing 30-60 minute home delivery to the surrounding communities.

As well as the trolley dash with Hebburn Helps, Jag has also donated 100 selection boxes to the WrapforJak.
He added: “This community has supported our store for more than a decade, and we want to give something meaningful back.
“Partnering with Snappy Shopper means we can help people get essentials to their homes quickly.”
