Jarrow Hall is launching a reduced-rate annual pass for local residents - with the help of the town’s Big Local Jarrow group and the Port of Tyne.
The offer, which is the first of its kind to be offered at Jarrow Hall, means annual passes can be purchased for the cost of a £5 adult day ticket or £3 for children and concessions.
They will be available from Saturday, October 20, until the end of November, and on offer to residents living in the Big Local Jarrow postcode area.
They will allow the pass holder unlimited general admission to Jarrow Hall and a range of discounts for 12 months from the date of purchase.
The means pass holders can get to a variety of activities throughout the half term week.
Jarrow Hall is operated by Groundwork South Tyneside and Newcastle which work with South Tyneside Council – which owns the Jarrow Hall land and buildings.
Leigh Venus, operations manager for culture and heritage at Groundwork South Tyneside and Newcastle, said: “Genuinely engaging with our local community is deeply rooted in Groundwork’s values.
“The Resident Pass offers a fantastic, straightforward way for people living locally to visit Jarrow Hall whenever they like to discover their heritage, as well as just enjoy exploring nature across our 11-acre site too.”
Big Local, which was launched by the Big Lottery Fund, aims to support communities to come together to make the areas where they live a better place with £1m in funding over 10 years.
