Jarrow woman airlifted to hospital after fall at Hadrian's Wall
The Great North Air Ambulance was called to the landmark site to assist paramedics.
The woman, aged between 41 and 50, sustained a serious leg injury after suffering a fall.

Hide AdA spokesman for the air ambulance said: "GNAA was called to assist North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) with a patient who had fallen whilst walking long Hadrian's wall and sustained a leg injury.
"The patient was treated on scene by the doctor, paramedic team before being flown to Carlisle Hospital for on-going treatment. "
Her injuries are described as non life-threatening and she is said to be in a stable condition.
