Joe on the road: McElderry on UK tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

The 24-year-old, from South Shields, is setting off on a UK tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat later this month.

Joe, who is playing the title role, will then be setting off on a new tour, dubbed the Northern Lights Tour.

He will be calling at the Whitley Bay Playhouse with the show on Saturday, October 8.

The popstar, from Westoe, South Shields, regularly sells out the venue, so fans are advised to get their tickets soon.

Joe was crowned winner of the The X Factor in 2009 and Popstar to Operastar in 2011.

He also triumphed on Channel 5 show The Jump.

He has released four albums and took on starring roles in pantomime and a run of The Who’s rock opera Tommy at Blackpool Opera House.
