Letter of the week: Never mind protests - hit Sunderland owner Ellis Short where it hurts most

There are rumours that Sunderland fans are considering a whole host of  protests at the running of our great club.

I agree that we should be venting our spleens at the current regime, but we should forget banners or marches.

The best way to protest is simply to not turn up. It hits the owner where it hurts most (in the pocket) ... and gives weary fans a break from watching that dross week in, week out.
