'Like family to me' - South Shields carer celebrates 20 years long service
South Shields carer celebrates two decades in her job - and claims residents are like family to her.
A carer at a South Shields home is celebrating 20 years in the role.
Staff and residents at Harton Grange care home in South Shields came together to celebrated the career of much-loved colleague, Lynda Tranter, as she received a prestigious Long Service Award - she has worked for Barchester Healthcare for two decades.
Senior Carer Lynda joined Barchester in June 2006 and 20 years on she still loves her job at Harton Grange. She said: “To fulfil the lives of those who need more help and Barchester is a brilliant company to work for. Both my manager and deputy manager are incredibly supportive, we are all a team and we help each other – my colleagues and residents are like family to me.”
Judith Tully, General Manager of Harton Grange said: “Lynda has demonstrated her dedication and loyalty to this home and its residents year after year. I speak for all of us here at Harton Grange when I say that I’m looking forward to many more years of working with Lynda.”
