Little Mix named Music Act of the Year at Glamour awards


The X Factor-winning group, which stars South Shields lasses Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards, were named Music Act of the Year at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards last night.
The popstars looked stunning as they took to the red carpet alongside Hollywood royalty.

Hide AdThe star-studded gathering, held in a specially-built marquee in Mayfair’s Berkeley Square, saw famous names from the world of entertainment handed awards.
Some of the celebs who walked the red carpet included Sigourney Weaver, Susan Sarandon, Stanley Tucci and Naomie Harris.
Other guests included Kourtney Kardashian, Jack Whitehall, Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid, Jennifer Saunders and Dawn French, Davina McCall, Caroline Flack and David Gandy.
More than 700,000 votes were cast for the awards which are in their 13th year and include categories ranging from sportswoman, UK TV actress, fashion designer, TV personality and Glamour icon.

Hide AdLittle Mix, which also stars Jesy Nelson and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, were presented with their Music Act of the Year away by radio DJ Greg James.
The girls took to Twitter to say thank you for the prize.
They tweeted: “Thank you to Jo Elvin, everyone at @GlamourMagUK and all the readers who voted us #BestMusicAct. Incredible evening last night.”
It’s the second Glamour award the chart toppers have picked up, after being named Band of the Year in 2014.
