Liverpool want former Man United star while Chelsea frustrated in pursuit

Liverpool were beaten 1-0 by Manchester United on Saturday as their hopes of qualifying for next season's Champions League suffered another blow.

They could try to sign a former Man United striker in the summer, though, according to a report in one of today’s newspapers, as they try to close the gap.
